Travel

Conference attendees are responsible for making their transfer to the venue. However if you are thinking on booking a taxi transfer from the airport to the city or vice versa, we can help you.

Send us an email to ondm2016.upct.es with the subject “taxi booking”. In the message body provide us the following details:

  • Your arrival and departure flights (arrival/departure date, hour, airport, ID flight).
  • The name of hotel where you will be staying (for your arrival).
  • The place where you want the taxi driver pick you up for your departure (from the hotel, from the conference venue, etc.).
  • If you want invoice of your trips, give us the invoice data. The taxi driver will have prepared your arrival/departure invoice.

We will confirm your taxi booking by email, giving you all details of taxi driver. Note that you can pay taxi fees with cash or credit card. Taxi fees are listed below (official taxi service).

By Plane

The best way to reach Cartagena is flying to one of the closest airports: Murcia-San Javier International Airport (MJV), Alicante International Airport (ALC) or Madrid-Barajas International Airport (MAD), located at 24, 95 and 450 Km from Cartagena, respectively. These airports have regular flights from/to several European cities, including London airports (of interest to international flights transfers).

Getting to Cartagena from the nearby airports

There is no regular direct bus service between the airports and Cartagena: the buses stop at Murcia, and there another bus/train can take you to Cartagena.
