Pablo Pavón Mariño was born in Ourense (Spain). He received his Telecommunications Engineering degree from the University of Vigo (Spain) in 1999. In 2000 he joined the Technical University of Cartagena (Spain), where he received his Ph.D. degree in Telecommunications in 2004. In 2010 he received his degree in Mathematics from the National University of Distance Learning (Spain). Since 2007, he has been working as an Associate Professor, and since 2017 as Full Professor in the Department of Information Technologies and Communications of the Technical University of Cartagena. His research interests include performance evaluation and optimization of communication networks. He has authored or co-authored > 50 journal papers and >80 conference contributions, participated in several national and international projects. He is author of the book Optimization of Computer Networks. Modeling and algorithms. A Hands on approach (Wiley 2016). He served as General Chair in several international conferences like IEEE HPSR 2011, ICTON 2013 and ONDM 2016. In 2017 he co-founded of the spin-off dedicated to provide advanced network planning solutions in communication networks E-lighthouse Network Solutions. |
