Important: Both Sailing Cruise and Guided Visit to the Roman Theater Museum will take place at June 24 and 26 (Monday and Wednesday). Since the number of places is limited, there will be several groups (limited to 75 people) at 17:00, 18:00 and 19:00 both days. Attendees must register at conference registration desk for these tours.

Event I - Welcome Reception Cocktail, June 23, 20:30

The conference reception will take place at the Royal Yatch Club of Cartagena (Real Club de Regatas de Cartagena).

Event II - Gala Dinner, June 25, 20:00

The conference gala dinner will take place at Restaurant 'La Cartuja'.

Event III - Catamaran Sailing Cruise on Cartagena Marina Bay

This event takes participants on a tour of the Cartagena coastline, pointing out the historic coast batteries which can be seen from the sea, the mining heritage of the area and interesintg landmarks. Hugging the coast, the tour pulls into some of the most secluded and beatiful coves which can only be accessed by boat. This is by far the best way to gain an understanding of the defense system and the port activity.

Event IV - Guided Visit to the Roman Theater Museum

The regeneration project of the Roman Theater in Cartagena has taken into account the integration of the remains in the urban network, as well as its adequate preservation and presentation for learning and cultural purposes. Also, the considerable wealth of the pieces for the successive excavation campaigns discovered in the Theater have given the opportunity to provide the city with a new museum space, the Roman Theater Museum, that not only serves as an adequate exhibition framework, but also, in the bright concept of the architect Rafael Moneo, leads the visitors to the interior of the monument, converting the Roman Theatre into its ultimately great hall.
