José Luis Izquierdo Zaragoza - Biography

José Luis Izquierdo Zaragoza was born in Cartagena, Spain, in 1987. He received the B.Sc. in Telematics, M.Sc. in Telecommunications and Master in Information and Communication Technologies in 2008, 2010 and 2011, respectively, from Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT), Spain.

He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in Information and Communication Technologies at the same university. His research interests include planning and performance evaluation of optical communications networks. During his Ph.D., he is doing research stays in some prestigious universities working on: (a) robustness analysis and simulation of communication networks with Prof. Eusebi Calle at Universitat de Girona, (b) split-spectrum schemes for flex-grid optical networks with Prof. Massimo Tornatore at Politecnico di Milano, and (c) disaster-aware design of future-proof passive optical networks (PONs) with Prof. Lena Wosinska at KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
